I cannot say enough good things about the loving, supportive and compassionate staff at Blue Bonnet. They were there for our family from the beginning and showed such professionalism in every aspect while being warm and understanding of all our family was facing in our mom's final chapter. Linda (marketing/sales), Susie (their amazing RN in Houston) and their chaplain met us at the hospital, spent a lot of time with us, were never hurried, and responded to all our queries and concerns with great empathy and care. They were waiting for us when we moved our mother home and made us feel we were the only family they were assisting as they were hands on and available 24/7. We talked to Colleen (owner/RN) many times throughout the wee hours on the first 2 nights and I never once was made to feel she was anything but 100% present for our concerns. The day things began to decline, Susie was at our side within 30 minutes of our phone call and remained with us until my mother passed away. Though a sad and tragic occurence to lose her, it was a profoundly moving experience to be able to be at her bedside with the comfort of knowing she passed peacefully. This was largely due to the immediate and comprehensive care Blue Bonnet provided on a moment's notice. I will always feel that God intervened and brought Blue Bonnet to our doorstep, even though we had been referred to them by another friend whose experience was similar to ours. They are angels doing God's work on this earth and it is very clear that they have each found the calling intended for them. They are able to help translate the hurt and heartache of loss into a beautiful and blessed event and that is a rare and special gift.
I just wanted to drop a note and thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all you and your team have done for me and John and his friends and family. I was completely blown away by the professionalism and caring and kindness from all of you. I was able to be with John and help John, for which I am very grateful, but it would have been many many times more difficult without Kima and Nancy and Shayna. I will remember them the rest of my days.
